One of the things I love most about Denver is how every neighborhood has its own personality, energy, and food scene. Whether you’re new to the city, visiting, or just looking for your next great meal, these dining districts truly stand out in and around Denver.
🎨 RiNo
A little over a decade ago, most people had never heard of RiNo, short for River North. Today, it’s one of Denver’s hottest neighborhoods. What was once a gritty warehouse district has transformed with artists, brewers, distillers, and some of the city’s best restaurants.
Standout spots: Hop Alley, Nocturne, Dio Mio, Fish N Beer, Work & Class, Safta, Beckon, Major Tom, Pit Fiend, Magna Kainan, Carne, Cimera, BearLeek, Uchi
Drinks: Ratio Beerworks, Death & Co.
🥂 LoHi
LoHi, short for Lower Highlands, is another top Denver food neighborhood. It’s packed with great restaurants and offers some of the city’s best views.
Favorites: El Five (rooftop tapas), Forest Room 5, Alma Fonda Fina, Mezcaleria Alma, Spuntino, The Bindery, Kawa Ni, Uncle, Kumoya, Ash’Kara, Ohana Island Kitchen, Cart-Driver, Avanti
LoHi always feels lively, stylish, and worth revisiting.

Before RiNo and LoHi rose to fame, LoDo (Lower Downtown) was Denver’s original dining hotspot. Today it still offers classic staples and refined dining experiences.

Aurora has one of the Denver metro area’s most diverse food scenes. While Annette at Stanley Marketplace brought national attention, locals have long known Aurora as a hub for global cuisine.
