📚 Borrow More Than Books

With a free library card, you can check out a wide array of materials:

  • Printed books, audiobooks, and magazine issues

  • eBooks, audiobooks, and digital magazines via Libby, Hoopla, TumbleBooks, Flipster, and other platforms 


💻 Tech Access & Assistance

  • Use public computers with Microsoft Office, specialized software, and free Wi‑Fi at all locations 

  • Borrow Wi‑Fi hotspots, Chromebooks, or both—for up to three months—to stay connected at home 

  • Explore ideaLAB makerspaces and recording studios at select branches for creative projects and tech experiments

Check out non-traditional items with your card, including:

  • Bike repair kits for on-site use

  • Colorado State Park passes

  • Tools, ladders, and even mowers via the Denver Tool Library permit

  • Bookmobile routes throughout Denver, making regular community stops for convenient access

Programs tailored specifically for customers 50+ include classes, creative workshops, social connection opportunities, memory cafés, and more

Library cards are free for all Denver residents and property owners. You can sign up online or in person with a photo ID and proof of address. Even if you're visiting programs, you don’t need a card to attend most events—you only need one for check‑outs and holds.
