Did You Know? It’s St. Paddy’s, Not St. Patty’s!
Ever wondered why it's called St. Paddy’s Day instead of St. Patty’s Day?
The name Paddy comes from Pádraig, the Irish name for Patrick. Patty is typically a nickname for Patricia, not Patrick. So, if you want to celebrate like a true Irish local, stick with St. Paddy’s Day!
No matter how you choose to celebrate, Denver’s St. Patrick’s Day events offer something for everyone. Be sure to check event details and ticket availability in advance, and get ready for a shamrockin’ good time. ☘️
If you're planning a full weekend downtown, you can also check out Denver Restaurant Week, which overlaps with many of the city’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
